HIR2 Bulbs

The HIR2 bulbs also known as 9012 is a single filament 12V 55w bulb with a PX22d base. It is widely used in modern vehicle headlights for both low and high beams. These bulbs are specifically designed for powerful, long-range high beam illumination used during highway driving and low-light conditions where maximum visibility is critical. 

The HIR2 socket employs a 9012 base type with a 2-prong connector, featuring a larger profile compared to some competing socket types to safely accommodate the higher-power electrical output characteristic of high beam bulbs. This robust design ensures secure and stable connections that maintain consistent performance even under demanding driving conditions.

Although H11, H8, and HIR2 share similar base designs and can physically fit into the same sockets, they are not directly interchangeable.  

These bulbs are compatible with dipped beam bulbs and main beam bulbs, for all vehicles. Are available in various brightness levels and colour temperatures, in halogen and xenon variants.
